A note on the Covid-19 crisis:
All our bottles are sanitised before use and filled in sanitary conditions. Deliveries will be made utilising masks, single use gloves, sanitiser, and our drivers will observe the social distancing guidelines. This policy is subject to change in accordance with changing government guidelines.
Due to the social distancing requirements we are unable to carry the goods beyond the doorstep.
All of our products contain alcohol and no one under 18 may purchase from us. Deliveries cannot be made to anyone under 18, and to achieve this we operate a challenge 21 policy. If the person taking delivery appears to our driver to be under 21, we will ask for identification in the form of a current UK driving licence or passport. If age cannot be verified the delivery will be cancelled and we will attempt to arrange redelivery or a refund. In the event of a second failed delivery due to age verification problems, the order will be cancelled and a refund issued.
These Terms and Conditions will apply to the purchase of the goods by you the Customer. We are Urban Alchemy Brewing Company Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under number 11367696 whose registered address is Urban Alchemy Brewing Company Limited, 14 York Road, Barnet, Hertfordshire EN5 1LJ. Our general contact email address is email@example.com. These are the Terms on which we sell all Goods to you. By ordering any of the Goods, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Consumer (or Customer or You) means an individual acting for purposes which are wholly or mainly outside his or her trade, business, craft or profession;
Supplier (or We or Us or Urban Alchemy) means the Urban Alchemy Brewing Company Limited;
Contract means the legally-binding agreement between you and us for the sale and purchase of the Goods;
Goods means any goods that we supply to you, of the number and description as set out in the Order;
Order means the Customer's order for the Goods from the Supplier as set out in the Customer's order or in the Customer's written acceptance of the Supplier's quotation
Currently we offer delivery only to a list of postcodes specified in our online shop. Orders outside of our delivery postcode list will be cancelled unless you have contacted us in advance of the order to discuss delivery cost.
Delivery costs are specified on our website and subject to change at our discretion for new orders. We will contact you using the contact data provided at the time of the order to discuss a delivery window. We will attempt to deliver as soon as possible, and guarantee delivery within 5 working days.
We are only able to deliver to persons over 18, and must view identification from persons not visibly over 21, as assessed by our delivery person. If delivery cannot be made to an adult, then the delivery will be cancelled and we will attempt to arrange redelivery or a refund. In the event of 2 missed deliveries we will cancel the order and issue a refund.
We do not accept any responsibility for any loss or damages resulting from deliveries not being made during the estimated delivery time.
Whilst every effort is made to ensure the details on our Site are accurate and up to date, Urban Alchemy takes no responsibility for information that is inaccurate or out of date.
All products are subject to availability. Where we have made a mistake regarding availability, we will contact you to offer either a refund, comparable product, or delay until we have new stock. This will be at your discretion.
In the event that a product is advertised on our Site at an incorrect price, we may cancel your order and provide you with a full refund.
All prices are quoted in pounds sterling and inclusive of VAT.
Payment Processing and Data Protection
Payments are taken using the Stripe payment platform, a widely used and secure 3rd party platform. Their terms and conditions can be viewed here:
All payments are taken in full when the order is placed, refunds will only be issued in accordance with these terms and conditions.
We may collect some personal data such as name, address, phone number and email address to facilitate deliveries, and with your approval to contact you via email from time to time to advise of new stock or special offers. You can contact us at any time on firstname.lastname@example.org to request the removal of all personal data from our systems.
Title in goods
Title (ownership) of the goods shall pass to the customer upon delivery, provided that payment has been processed. Responsibility for the goods passes to the customer upon delivery.
In the event that we deliver to an adult at the delivery address who is not the customer, title shall be deemed to have passed to the customer upon delivery.
Inspection of goods
You should inspect the goods as soon as possible after delivery and notify us with 7 days of any breakages or shortages. We are unable to guarantee replacements or refunds outside of this notification period.
If contacted with a report of defective goods we will give you a reference number, arrange collection, and at your discretion replace or refund the value of the goods. The goods must be made available for collection and inspection before a refund/replacement can be processed.
Returns, cancellations and refunds
Orders may be cancelled at any time before leaving our store room for delivery by contacting us on email@example.com. A refund will be processed within 5 working days.
Returns may be applied for by contacting us on firstname.lastname@example.org within 2 weeks of the goods being delivered. Due to the goods having a limited shelf life, return of goods of satisfactory quality cannot be accepted outside of this time frame. This does not affect your right to return goods of unsatisfactory quality at any time.
Goods damaged whilst in the possession of the customer, for example damage to labels or general soiling, will not be accepted for return.
Refunds which are accepted will be processed within 5 working days.
Goods being returned will be collected by us from the delivery address on the original order.
Warranties and exclusion of liability
We warrant that Urban Alchemy Products will be of satisfactory quality and fit for their general purpose. All other warranties, conditions and other terms implied by statute or common law are, to the fullest extent permitted by law, excluded from this Agreement.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall preclude Urban Alchemy's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, for fraud or for any other liability which cannot be excluded by law
We advise you to take all reasonable precautions when handling and consuming our products. Alcohol should be consumed in moderation.
Our bottles are delivered in cardboard boxes, which may become fragile when wet. Reasonable care should be taken when lifting, we accept no liability for damages caused by dropped cases or bottles post delivery.
Our beers are carbonated and bottle conditioned and will contain pressure in the bottles, this may become more built up during the delivery process. We recommend that you allow at least 1 hour after delivery before opening these products and do not shake them before opening. Never open them directly into the direction of you or any other person and take particular care of your eyes when opening.
Governing law, jurisdiction and complaints
The Contract (including any non-contractual matters) is governed by the law of England and Wales
Disputes can be submitted to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales or, where the Customer lives in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts of respectively of Northern Ireland or Scotland.
We try to avoid any dispute, so we deal with complaints as follows: If a dispute occurs customers should contact us directly. We will aim to respond with an appropriate solution within 5 days.
